You may have heard of the expression, “dog days of summer,” but did you know it actually talks about a period (July 3rd to August 11th) when the star Sirius rises the same time as the sun? The star Sirius is known as the “Dog Star,” because of its constellation, “Canis Major.” This period of time coincides with hot summer days when most of us (especially Moby) feel tired and just plain lazy.
